Bernard Carney is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with interests in both plastic surgery and trying to have fun. He has a busy public and private practice. He is the current unit head of the Burns unit at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. His interest in Burns was developed through a fellowship in Burns surgery at the Royal Adelaide hospital and close involvement in the aftermath of the Bali Burns disaster in 2002.

Privately, his main interests are gardening, art, his collection of slowly decaying classic cars and mastering surfing and skiing with his children.
