Dr. Vinita Puri, a Plastic Surgeon, is Professor and Head of the department of Plastic Surgery and Burns at KEM Hospital Mumbai. Among her achievements she has been honored with the Donald R. Laub Humanitarian Award by ReSurge International, Safdurjung Professorship 2016 (for Burns) by National Academy of Burns, India (NABI), Kilner award and N H Antia award of Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI). She was also the APSI visiting Professor of Plastic Surgery for the year 2013-2014, and has been the STANFORD visiting Professor of Plastic Surgery in 2015.

Dr. Puri is presently President of NABI. She is also ReSurge Honorary Medical Director for India,  Member of Medical Advisory Board of Impact India foundation (runs Lifeline Express for poor and needy in the interiors of India) & Member of Advisory board of the Regional Organ & Tissue transplant organization.

Dr. Puri has been successfully organizing the only pediatric Burn survivor camp of India named Camp Karma which has benefitted many children to date. Treating the poor and economically backward sections of society is a special passion with her.

Her special interests are Hand surgery, Reconstructive Micro surgery, Brachial plexus surgery and Burns.
